| Introduced by Mildred Seaver, 'Lucy Vitols', a hosta of unknown parentage, was registered in 1989. The plant is 16" in diameter and 8-10" high. The heart-shaped leaves are green-yellow to yellow with an irregular, narrow green margin and some irregular streaking to the midrib. The 7-10" x 9" leaves have 10-11 pairs of veins, heavy texture and heavy rugosity. The funnel-shaped flowers are fertile and a very pale lavender color. They are irregularly spaced on a straight 16-18" tall, foliated scape. The bloom period is July 4-early August in Massachusetts. |
