| 'Eagle's Nest' is yet another sport from 'Sum and Substance'. It comes to us from Ran Lydell. It is very unusual in that it is much slower growing and much smaller than 'Sum and Substance', with much thicker leaves. The flower scapes are also much shorter, making for a neatly packaged small version of its huge parent, complete with an attractive medium-green center. These odd characteristics are likely the result of a change in ploidy. |
