Bette Davis Eyes (K Vaughn 87)

Kevin Vaughn brought this hosta out in 1986. It is a cross of 'Summer Fragrance' x 'Christmas Tree'. The funnel-shaped purple flowers are fragrant and fertile. The leaves are dark green and cordate. A mature plant is 24 x 12". Handy Hatfield said, "it represents a totally new departure in hosta blooms ... an ever-blooming fragrant flowered plant." While this is an exaggeration, it is very attractive in bloom. The plant is medium sized.
